            Family medicine and family practice used to be considered 2 different sides of the same coin. Family medicine was the academic discipline, the research and teaching.             The faith I refer to is not some dogmatic adherence to a set of beliefs or unquestioning surrender to someone else\u2019s authority, both of which seem to have created \u201cturf\u201d mentalities that divide people.
